Ingredients
Lemon- 1
Turmeric Powder- 1/4 tsp
Mustard Seeds-1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves- 15-20
Coriander Leaves- a handful
Olive oil- 1 tsp
Poha- 2 cups
Green Chilies- 2
Boiled Peas, beans, capsicum- 1/4 cup each
Salt- as per taste
Instruction
1. Start by taking 2 cups of poha or flattened rice. Wash it thoroughly in a sieve, stirring continuously with a fork to avoid lumps.
2. To steam the poha, take a kadhai and add some water. Place a container with holes containing the washed poha on top of it. Semi-cover the sieve with a plate and steam the poha for 10 minutes over medium flame.
3.
Shift the steamed poha to a bowl.
4. In another small pan, prepare the tadka. Heat a teaspoon of oil and add mustard seeds, finely chopped green chilies, and curry leaves. Stir-fry them.
5.
Return to the steamed poha and add turmeric powder, mixing evenly.
6. Add boiled vegetables of your choice, such as beans, bell peppers, and peas.
7. Pour the prepared tadka over the poha. Also, add salt to taste, lemon juice, and fresh coriander leaves.
8. Finally, give all the ingredients a good mix, and your flavorful poha is ready to be enjoyed!
