Ingredients
- Samak rice (barnyard millet): 1 cup(50 gms)
- Carrot (chopped): 1 pc
- Beans (chopped): 4-5 pcs
- Peas: 1/2 cup
- Grated ginger: 1/4th tsp
- Oil: 1 tsp
- Dry fruits of your choice
- Coriander leaves (chopped)
- Lime juice: 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Cumin seeds: 1/4th tsp
Instruction
- Wash samak rice and soak in water for about 20 mins.
- In a pan, add oil, cumin seeds. When the seed crackle, add chopped veggies, grated ginger and some salt. sauté the veggies properly.
- Add water and samak rice in it.
- Cover the pan and cook for around 8-10 mins in low to medium flame, keep checking.
- Add chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice, mix everything well.
- Turn off the flame and cover the lid, let it set for 10 mins.
- Garnish with dry fruits of your choice (optional).
